For those who missed the application deadline, or have not moved forward in the process, please look for another recruitment to be announced in June/July 2012. The Chandler Police Department is committed to hiring the best candidates as police officers. Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of the Chandler Police Department. The top 40 applicants who pass the written and physical agility test will be contacted and scheduled for an oral board. Oral boards will begin March 16, 2012.
Physical Agility Test
Saturday March 10, 2012 (in state applicants)
7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Chandler High School
350 S Arizona Ave, Chandler, AZ 85249 (Test administered at Austin Field at the west side of campus. Applicants who pass the written will be invited to the Physical Test by email.)
Out of State Applicants
Out of state applicants are scheduled for a large portion of the testing process at the beginning of the recruitment. Every effort is made to minimize trips for out of state applicants. Expect to travel to Chandler at least 3 times during the process. Keep in mind that applicants must pass each portion of the process in order to move on to the next phase.

The selection process is very competitive and may take 2-3 months to complete. We only consider the most highly qualified applicants.
Arizona POST Certified Officer Applicants
In order to apply as an AZPOST certified lateral officer you must be currently employed as an Arizona state certified police officer or have resigned from an Arizona police agency while in good standing. You must have at least one year of patrol work experience from date of completing field training, to be given consideration as a lateral officer. Applicants currently certified by AZPOST will not be required to attend the academy.
Out of State Lateral Police Officer Applicants
Out-of state officers must be currently employed as a certified police officer or have resigned from a police agency while in good standing. You must have at least one year of patrol work experience from date of completing field training, to be given consideration as a lateral officer. Out of state lateral officers may be able to gain AZPOST certification through the waiver process, and if successfully completed, will not have to attend an academy.
