Physical Agility Test

The physical agility test will be administered to those candidates who successfully complete the written examination and preliminary background screening. The physical agility test will consist of:

• Sit-ups – 31 within one minute;
• Push-ups – 31 (no time limit); and
• 1.5 mile run completed within 14 minutes and 29 seconds.

The physical agility test is designed to evaluate a candidate’s overall physical condition. This evaluation helps the Chandler Police Department determine if a candidate will be able to satisfactorily meet the ALEA (Arizona Law Enforcement Academy) fitness standards.
