Child Predator Caught

CHANDLER, AZ. On 07-28-08, between 8:20 AM and 8:30 AM, a Hispanic male approached 3 girls, 3 different times in the 700 S Block of Nebraska Street and assaulted them as they walked to their bus stop. The suspect first grabbed the hand of a 13-year old Chandler resident, cracking her knuckles. The suspect then touched her arm and leg and finally kissed her neck. The victim then fled from the suspect and notified her father who called police. After interviewing several other girls in the area, police located a 13-year old girl and 14-year old girl who were also assaulted by the suspect in the same area. The suspect also grabbed their hands and cracked their knuckles before grabbing their arms. Shortly after being assaulted, these girls fled and were not kissed by the suspect.
On 07-29-08 at approximately 6:00 PM, one of the girls from the previous assaults recognized the suspect near San Marcos Elementary School. Police responded and contacted Francisco Javier Hernandez, a 39-year old Chandler resident. Through the police investigation, officers connected Hernandez to all 3 assaults. Hernandez was booked into Maricopa County Jail for aggravated assault.
