Bank Robber Turns Himself In

CHANDLER, AZ. On September 15, 2008 at 4:46 P.M., a male suspect robbed the Chase Bank in the Fry’s store located at 1950 W. Ray Road in Chandler.
As a result of media coverage on September 18,2008, a sheriff’s employee saw his picture and recognized him as a previous inmate. A citizen watching the news also recognized him. A female acquaintance of the suspect saw him on the news and encouraged him to turn himself in. The suspect called Mesa police and was taken into custody.

The suspect was identified as a 36 year-old transient, Jose Luis Morales Jr.
