Smoke Shop Homicide Suspect Arrested

Saturday September 20,2008

CHANDLER, AZ. On February 9, 2008, at approximately 9 pm, police responded to the “Smoke N Stuff” located at 411 South Arizona Avenue after receiving a report of a man down inside the store. Officers found the store clerk on the floor suffering from a single gunshot wound. The store clerk, identified as 26-year-old Shawn Michael Foote, was transported to a local hospital where he later died.

On September 18, 2008 Chandler Police Detectives received information from witnesses, which eventually lead to the arrest of 19 year-old Chandler resident Cesar Felipe Buis.

Today at approximately 1:20 pm, Cesar was taken into custody at his residence located at 331 North Brookside Street without incident. Cesar will be booked into Maricopa County Jail on one count of First Degree Murder and Armed Robbery.
